Karen is a qualified veterinary nurse (1984 - University of Pretoria) and also has a two year Dog and Cat Ethology course to her name.

She has been involved with dog training for 30 years and has been giving puppy classes for the past six years. She is employed at the Tygerberg Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Nurse and Resident Behaviourist.

Karen is also the author and publisher of the book "New Puppy, Now What?". This comprehensive book covers many of the pertinent points in choosing and raising a puppy including breed selection, house training, handling, feeding etc.

She holds 3 puppy classes per week throughout the year and also 2 adult dog training classes per week.
